Arm The Populace is the most recommended and most attended CCW class in Ohio. In 2018, almost 1600 received their CCW training from ATP.

Owner and Chief Instructor
Charlie G is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of St. Louis Job Corps Center where he finished his high school program a year earlier than any other student in the history of the program. Charlie also received his certificate in Cement Masonry and garnered 5 different awards including Vice President of the Month and The Center Director's Award of Distinction.
He began shooting at age 13 with Military and Law Enforcement family members and Martial Arts training since the age of 9. Charlie was forced to mature early at 16 years old in order to care for his mother who had taken ill, caring for her through high school and until 2012.
Charlie is a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor and is the second founding father of Arm The Populace.

Tom is a 20+ year veteran Sergeant of local law enforcement committed to enhancing gun safety and education for all. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tom is a graduate of Aiken High and currently resides on the West Side of town with his wife of 20 years and two children.
One to always practice what he teaches, the entire family practices vigilant gun safety and personal protection practices. Tom believes that it is every individual’s right and responsibility to be armed not only with a weapon but the proper training to carry it responsibly.
As part of the Arm the Populace family, Tom spends his free time away from serving and protecting helping with building community relations and weapon safety education as a USCCA Certified Concealed Carry Instructor and OPOTA Certified Pistol Instructor.
Bill is also a Cincinnati Native, and was Doug's classmate at St. Xavier High School. After a short stint at Miami University he was recruited by the Naval Security Group of the National Security Agency and served as a Russian Cryptolinguistic Operator. He has additional training in Close Quarters Combat, Small Arms, Hand-to-Hand Combat, and Survival.
He began competitive shooting when he was 13 years old, receiving his Expert Marksman (Rifle) Award from the US Army Civilian Marksmanship Program at age 15.
Bill has served overseas in various locations and has lived in Japan, Russia and a few other places around the globe.
He is a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor and NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer.

Doug is a Cincinnati Native, graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1988, and the University of Cincinnati in 2007 with degrees in Literature and History and minors in Theology and Philosophy. He has been an educator as a corporate trainer, Treasury Agent, and now USCCA and NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.
His service to his fellow Americans is trying to help keep you and your loved ones safe in a crazy and dangerous world. Besides multiple accreditations through multiple firearms organizations (NRA, USSCA, etc.) he has been shooting since he was 4 years old and training in martial arts since he was 7 years old. Doug says. “Your self-preservation is 100% your responsibility but to aid you with that I founded Arm The Populace.”
